Welcome to Virtual Hackford Road

Our Virtual Hackford Road facility was developed to provide direct access to the luxuries of home during long trips abroad on projects.  Some aspects of the real Hackford Road were adjusted to allow remote control.

The original web-based Virtual Hackford Road portal allowed the user, in a virtual state, to browse the bookshelves, play CDs, relax with a nice cup 'u tea, attend parties and generally laze around, while in reality stranded in some dreadful airport in the Balkans, stuck in the basement bar of a Soviet-era hotel in darkest Silesia, or in transit across south east Asia.

This much scaled-down version, with the interactive features disabled, recreates for you the visitor some sense of the charm and sophistication of the fully functional Virtual Hackford Road.  Hackford Road was also the site of most of the eight Saturday Night at the Oval parties between 1993 and 1999.
